Philanthropist

Runningbear is a well-respected activist, philanthropist, and creative consultant for luxury fashion brands. Fueled by his humanitarian passion, Runningbear divides his days between his philanthropic work and other business endeavors, joining the Project Angel Food Board of Directors in 2018.

In October 2020, Runningbear was joined by L.A. Councilman Mitch O’Farrell to announce he was launching and funding the two-year Project Angel Food/USC Keck School of Medicine Research Study on Native Americans with Diabetes which began in January 2021. With this program, medically tailored meals and nutrition counseling are supplied to Native Americans living with diabetes in Los Angeles County, to evaluate not only medical progress that comes from food is medicine approach but also improved mental health as well.

Aside from his many altruistic undertakings, Runningbear’s heart also lies within the realm of fashion. He works behind the scenes with fashion design houses like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Fendi who utilize his taste helping to inspire handbags, accessories, luggage and red carpet looks. In December 2019, Runningbear curated a Gucci pop-up event where 10% of all purchases made at Gucci’s Rodeo Drive storefront directly benefitted his pilot program at Project Angel Food.
