Project Angel Food welcomed volunteers back into the kitchen after a 13-month suspension due to COVID-19. The kitchen served more clients than ever before in our 32-year history and the Native American Diabetes Project, a two-year study conducted with USC Keck School of Medicine, began trials to measure health outcomes through use of Project Angel Food’s Medically Tailored Meals. The 14 millionth meal in Project Angel Food’s history was presented to longtime client and AIDS activist Richard E. on June 3 with founder Marianne Williamson, Pauley Perrette, Sandra Lee, Rufus Wainwright, and CEO Richard Ayoub in attendance.
