Jason is a media executive with 30 years of experience in all aspects of content development, production, and management. For the last 12 years, he was the vice president of news at KTLA-TV. Jason joined the Project Angel Food board in May 2018 and had been its chair since 2019.

He has hosted and produced two podcasts: The News Director’s Office about local media and Friends With Friends about the TV show Friends. He has worked with UNICEF to generate donations and highlight the humanitarian organization’s work in Kenya, Guatemala, and Vietnam. He’s a backyard beekeeper and handler. A 5th generation Arkansan, Jason produced and directed the documentary Out of the South about growing up gay in the Southern U.S. 

In 2019, Jason participated in the AIDS/LifeCycle, a bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to benefit Los Angeles LGBT Center and San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Jason and his husband, Troy, have been together for 25 years and moved to Los Angeles in 2001. In 2020, they rescued a German Shepherd named Klaus.
