Project Angel Food’s Circle of Angels Garden Party was a sensational, sunny celebration of our most ardent supporters who help us deliver Medically Tailored Meals to L.A.’s seriously ill.

Held on the sweeping lawn of Tim Robinson and Bob Cohen’s divine Doheny Drive home, the vibe was casual, classy, festive and fun for the 300-plus guests who attended. It had people humming Ricky Nelson’s 1972 hit, “Garden Party.”

The host committee delivered — big time — with more people in attendance than ever before.

The Platinum Host Committee included Mary Fisher, David and Ashley Kramer, and Tim Robinson. The Gold Host Committee included Rodney and Idan Gould, Michael Lombardo and Sonny Ward, Jim Petrone and Keith Kauhanen, and the Silver Host Committee included Eden Alpert, Richard Ayoub, Robin Bram, Victor Cortes and Scott Harris, Lovey Dash, Chris Esguerra, Ilise and Scott Faye, Richard Franceschini, Robin Fujimoto and Jim Botko, Abbe Land and Martin Gantman, Jeff Lewis and Stuart O'Keeffe, Mark Margolis, Cynthia Mathis, Bill McDermott, John Ryan and Blake Seaton , Audrey Schlaepfer and Judith Bennis, Ron Shalowitz, John Sonego and Thomas Faughnan, Lisa Stanley, and Torie Zalben.

American Idol superstar and Billboard Chart-topping recording artist David Archuleta blew everyone away singing his hit “Crush,” “Angels” and “Imagine” which gave people chills. He was as generous with his heart as he was with his talent and did a meet-and-greet with donors after his performance.

Hors d’oeuvres and staffing were provided by Crumble Catering, spirits were sponsored by Leslie Barclay with Ketel One and 21 Seeds, and mouthwatering desserts were provided by our host Tim Robinson. It was all delightful and decadent. With a buzz in the warm spring air, international celebrity auctioneer Gabriel Butu took the stage for a rousing auction that was as entertaining as it was essential.

Project Angel Food CEO Richard Ayoub explained to the group of givers gathered that because of a swell in demand of seriously ill people needing our services, Project Angel Food is producing and delivering 40,000 meals more each month than is covered in our budget. There was an outpouring of generosity, and the event raised more than any previous Circle of Angels Garden Party to cover the cost of 30,000 meals! Record breaking.

Big shout-out to Tripscaper and Eric Monkaba for making an amazing once-in-a-lifetime trip to Egypt possible, complete with a four-night cruise, three nights at the Four Seasons in Cairo with a room overlooking the Nile, private tours and so much more.

Butu donned a sombrero to auction off a Mexican getaway with a three-night stay in an ocean casita at The Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, and three nights at the Verano, the crown jewel of the Mexican Riviera in Puerto Vallarta. Included was dinner at Daiquiri Dick’s on the Beach, the beautiful new restaurant by Chef Wayne Elias and Chris Diamond of Crumble Catering. Our thanks to The Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, The Verano Estate and Daiquiri Dick’s on the Beach.

What made the day especially beautiful was the spirit of love for Project Angel Food and our vital work that could be felt in the hearts of all who attended.
