Project Angel Food generates income from a number of different sources. In addition, the agency is heavily reliant upon corporate foundation gifts, individual donors, and direct mail. What does this all mean? Project Angel Food is a community-funded organization.

We always want our clients to feel loved and special, and one way we can accomplish that is through our birthday bag program. Because our main focus is on providing nutritious and delicious meals to our clients, Project Angel Food depends on donations for this annual offering.
Birthday bags typically feature items like candles, t-shirts, coffee, tea, mugs, soaps, lotions, books, candy, picture frames, CDs, DVDs, pens, notepads, toiletries, and any seasonal items.
If you would like to donate items for birthday bags, please contact Client Services at email@example.com or call 323.845.1810.
Let us cater your next office meeting, fundraising event, or team building event!
Our gourmet sandwiches and creative salads are made to order with the freshest ingredients. Our original recipes are made in our state of the art Hollywood kitchen!
Meals include an entree sandwich, salad, dessert, and beverage for the price of $14-$15 per meal. Please contact Derbeh Vance for more details and purchases.
Project Angel Food welcomes toy and gift donations so that we can assemble and provide holiday bags for our clients’ children and grandchildren. The toys and gifts our donors generously provide are often the only ones these children receive, as 90% of our clients live below the poverty level.
Approximately 120 children, ranging in age from 1 to 17 years old, receive holiday bags.
Presents typically include new books, DVDs, CDs, gift cards, stuffed animals, and tickets for outings such as the aquarium, the theater, or Disneyland.
Our Project Angel Food Bakers make chocolate chip, gingersnap and iced lemon cookies to deliver a smile to you and feed our mission. Baked in our kitchen by our chefs, these cookies are the next best thing to homemade. These cookies not only taste good, but with your help, they do good. Thank you for your purchase.
To purchase cookies please call Linda Thomas at 323.845.1800 ext. 234 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Bequests are directly allocated to our Reserve Fund, which is essential for our long term fiscal health. Sample language for including Project Angel Food in your will or living trust:
“I give to Project Angel Food, a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization incorporated by the laws of the State of California, having its principal office at 922 Vine Street, Los Angeles, California, 90038, the sum of $___ (or, __ percentage of my estate) (or, ___ percentage of my residuary estate) for its general corporate purposes.”
Many estate assets may be transferred outside of your will. These include qualified retirement plan assets, bank and brokerage accounts, and the proceeds from life insurance policies. To name Project Angel Food as a beneficiary, you may need to provide the following information on your beneficiary designation form:
Project Angel Food
922 Vine St.
Los Angeles, CA 90038
Our Tax ID #: 95-4115863
If estate preservation is a planning priority for you, this may be worth looking into.
How does it work? You transfer appreciating assets into the lead trust; the trust pays Project Angel Food income for a term of years; at the end of the term, the balance of the lead trust passes to your heirs. Gift/estate tax on the transfer is reduced by the value of our income interest. The trust can be set up to reduce your gift or estate tax liability to zero. Best of all, your heirs pay nothing in capital gains tax on any appreciation in the assets that occurs during the term of the lead trust.
Contact Richard Ayoub at 323.845.1800 ext. 232 for more information.
Our devoted group of $1,500 or more annual donors are at the heart of our daily work. In gratitude, their generosity is recognized on our Circle of Angels Donor Wall at our kitchen. Circle of Angels donors also receive invitations to special events and other agency receptions. To find out how you can become a Circle of Angels donor, please contact Mark McBride at 323.845.1807. Many employers will match an employee’s donation—sometimes double or even triple the amount. For more information on our Matching Gifts program, please contact Linda Thomas at 323.845.1800 ext. 234.
