November 19, 2020
Kirsten Vangsness, Project Angel Food volunteer and star of Criminal Minds, joins Executive Director Richard Ayoub to host the live virtual event Project Angel Food’s Night of Gratitude & Song on Sunday, November 22 at 6PM PST.
There is no cost for this exclusive virtual live event. It is produced as a way to give back to all the front line workers, volunteers, donors and sponsors who have worked tirelessly to keep Project Angel Food’s doors open during the challenges of the pandemic. Since March of 2020, Project Angel Food has grown from serving 1,500 to 2,300 critically ill people per day as COVID-19 continues to ravage this vulnerable population.
“We will never miss a meal!” This was Project Angel Food’s promise to our clients and Project Angel Food’s Night of Gratitude & Song celebrates countless people whose contributions make it possible to live up to that commitment.
The event includes a special message from Adam Lambert featuring his song Feel Something, and performances from Megan Hilty (Smash), Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect, Zoe’s Extraordinary Playlist), Juan Pablo Di Pace (Dashing in December, Fuller House), Ava Maybee (Lay Low), Thelma Houston (Grammy winner). Megan is premiering her new Christmas song. Also joining are Lisa Rinna (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Michael Nouri (Yellowstone), celebrity auctioneer Gabriel Butu and Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond) with a hysterical kitchen tour.
Featuring in the program is a sneak peek of the Amazon Original Movie Uncle Frank starring Paul Bettany, directed by Oscar-winner Alan Ball, premiering on Amazon Thanksgiving Day. Uncle Frank and Amazon’s LGBTQ+ group Glamazon are sponsoring Project Angel Food’s Thanksgiving Day event. Eighteen hundred meals will be delivered to people who are homebound, dealing with life-threatening illnesses.
