Project Angel Food’s Angel Art 2020 is honored to announce our partnership with artist Christina Quarles on a limited edition print which will directly benefit the organization’s response to COVID-19. Quarles moved to Los Angeles from Chicago in 1991 and is represented by Regen Projects, Los Angeles and Pilar Corrias, London. Her print, with no more than the strength and confidence of a fine line, embodies the importance of human connection over human categorization and division according to racial, sexual, or gender identity. Quarles’s work, informed by her identity as a biracial (black and white), queer, cisgendered woman, has been exhibited at MoCA, Chicago and the Hammer Musuem, Los Angeles.
