Approximately 66% of our clients are people of color. The number of women and children Project Angel Food serves continues to grow. Currently, women  make up approximately 41% of all clients.

Are all of Project Angel Food's clients homebound?

No. Because of advances in medical treatments, some of Project Angel Food's clients are able to leave their homes. However, these individuals still rely on Project Angel Food to provide a strong nutritional foundation to support their healthcare. And, of course, there are still many clients who are homebound and have no option other than Project Angel Food for their nutritional needs.

How many volunteers assist Project Angel Food?

Volunteers are the heart of Project Angel Food. Over the course of a year, over 3,500 volunteers prepare and deliver food, plan special events and fundraising efforts, develop marketing and communications programs, and help to set policy for the organization. On a daily basis, more than 60 volunteers are needed to help prepare and deliver fresh and nutritious meals.
